About

Syrp is a mobile app foundry based in Toronto, Canada.

The first project by Syrp Inc. was Cloud Photos, a photo management application for iOS that uses Dropbox to manage your photos. The app gives iPhone users a way to easily access the photos on their phone without taking up a lot of storage. It was released in the App Store in March 2012 and received press attention from among others, TechCrunch and CNET.

Jukeboxer

The four partners in Syrp love discovering and sharing new music with friends. Jukeboxer grew out of a conversation on ways to share music. The idea eventually took the form of a game, which was a fun and unique way to approach the problems of music discoverability and interaction.

The premise of Jukeboxer is to allow users to share their musical interests by creating a rendition of songs that they then share with friends or random people they connect with through the app. The friend then has to guess the song that was shared, with correct guesses winning points for both users.
